The Mimaki JV5 is in a whole new class of its own. Its four newly developed printheads each contain four times as many nozzles as conventional heads - an amazing 5,760 in all. Arranged in a unique staggered formation, they can lay down ink in 4-inch wide passes to deliver a staggering 40 m² per hour of photo-quality output.
With its variable sized dot technology, the Mimaki JV5 can produce perfect gradations and skin tones at up to 1440 dpi. Optimum print quality is ensured by automatic nozzle-out detection and compensation, automatic head-height adjustment and automatic media-feed correction.
What's more, media feed, winder take-up and post-print heater are supplied as standard. There's dual-cartridge switching for uninterrupted production and full solvent quick drying ink. Plus it's available in 1.3m (54") and 1.6m (64") width versions.
Of course, an advanced printer like this needs an equally advanced RIP to deliver the high speed data transfer to its USB 2.0 interface. Our newly-released Shiraz V6.4 meets the challenge with a choice of Windows, MacOSX and Linux platforms.
