WHAT'S NEW!

Mimaki JV33 130 and 160 - These are the latest solvent machines to be launched by Mimaki (started shipping October 2007), and are proving to be even more popular than the market leading JV3 series that it is intended to replace.

  • Two printer widths: JV33 130 (54" [1370mm]  or the JV33 160 (63" [1600mm])
  • 30-40% faster than the JV3 series (High quality print output at 13 m2/hr) you really need to view the machines printing first hand, to fully appreciate the speed!
  • Employs the JV5 print head assemblies, for easier head alignment, and retaining the industry standard Mimaki print quality up to 1440 dpi
  • Employs a separate cleaner cartridge for even more economical running costs
  • Employs the UISS (uninterrupted ink supply system 1 x 8) as per the JV5 for uninterrupted printing whilst still being able to change empty ink cartridges
  • New SS21 ink has a greater colour gamut (reds & blues predominantly) and is even more resilient to scratching, and still with the absolute lowest odour levels
  • Same competitive pricing as the JV3 130 and 160
  • Same "special priced" bundled cutter & laminator offerings, as the JV3 130 and 160
  • Same attractive ink price as the JV3 SS2
  • 2 year parts and labour warranty as standard, just as the JV3 130 and 160

In summary: The JV33 has all the existing JV3 benefits of a proven market leader; but faster, better, more economical to run, and the same capital purchase price.  A win-win situation!

Come and see the machine in action at either our London showrooms or Crewe facility.  I have done many demonstrations already to both new users and existing JV3 owners, and overwhelmingly, people are impressed.  These machines will ensure Mimaki remains the solvent printer of choice.

We also have the CG contour cutter at either facility, to be able to show a full print and cut capability!

Canon iPF 8000S / 9000S - This is the latest 8 colour machine to be launched from Canon to run along side the already popular 12 colour iPF8000 and iPF9000.  The new "S" series printers are absolutely stunning!  Very high speed, very high quality.... You really need to see this machine close up and running, to fully appreciate the significance!

The 12 colour machines are ideally positioned to replace the existing older Encad and HP large format printers we have out in our user base.  However, Canon wanted even more speed to assure their place as the high quality printer with the fastest production speed, and hence the iPF8000S & iPF9000S were born. (Started shipping November 07)

  • Two printer widths: iPF8000S - 44" and the iPF9000S - 60"
  • High production speed - Realistic up to 24 m2/hr.  This speed is not hype, you need to see it to believe it, and with really great quality too!
  • Pigmented based ink with a Dye based colour gamut.  This gives a light fast print with a great colour gamut. (No swapping between Dye based inks and Pigment based inks anymore!)
  • High quality print - up to 1200 dpi
  • 8 colour ink set to achieve an excellent colour gamut
  • BubbleJet print head technology, with a life expectancy of 2 years typically.
  • Easy head change by operator, when necessary - no engineer call out needed
  • Ease of use - very simple to operate.
  • Clean hands operation - no messy cartridges to change
  • On-board hard disc for fastest data processing, and USB2.0 connectivity

The "S" series machines are targeted by Canon as production large format devices.  To my knowledge they are the fastest large format printers of there type, in the market today.  When you compare the Canon "S" series to the alternate HP "Z" series in a production situation, the Canon "S" is directly competitive on print speed, and in actual fact more productive by way of throughput, and has the added bonus of no thermal cartridge requirements

In summary: The Canon 8000S and 9000S are an ideal large format printing tool if you want maximum production speed, with stunning print quality, and reliability.  These machines will be the "industry standard" in the future, and an ideal replacement for the older Encad / HP printers that many end users have relied upon for many years.

Come and see the machine in action at our London showrooms.  I have carried out various demonstrations already, to new users and existing Encad / HP owners, and have had excellent feed back on all occasions.  The speed from the iPF8000S and iPF9000 models is out of this world, and at a quality you won't believe!  It's a must see!

Epson 11880 - This is the latest 64" wide machine to be launched by Epson recently (started shipping Oct 07), and is proving to be very much in demand.

  • 64" wide print capability - A first for Epson!
  • New print head design to give the ultimate print quality - What you would expect from Epson's already established position as the very highest of print quality in the Fine Art and Photographic market - up to 2880 dpi
  • New ink set to include "Vivid Magenta" to give the ultimate colour gamut.  8 colours with 3 blacks, you can't get better than this, other than by going to wet process!
  • Further reduced metamerism in the ink set for what Epson state to be zero.  An overwhelming advantage for the Photo and Fine Art market!
  • 10 m2/hr - good print speed to achieve the ultimate in quality and colour
  • Media take up as standard - Previously been an optional extra for other Epson models

Epson 7880 / 9880 - These are the latest models within the existing Epson 24" and 44" range.  Previously known as 7800 / 9800 but with the following changes;

In summary: The Epson 7880 / 9880 / 11880 printers are all aimed at the Photo and Fine Art market, undoubtedly giving the ultimate quality and colour output with the only disadvantage being print speed in comparison to others competitive models in the Photo & fine Art sector, such as the Canon iPF8000 / 9000, which come a close second!

Come and see the machines in action at our London showrooms.  Again, demonstrations already carried out to new users, and existing Epson, Encad / HP owners, have all had excellent feed back.

We have all the above machines in our demonstration facility in our London (Barnes) offices, so you are more than welcome to come and see first hand the machines for yourself.  Bring your own files along, put the machines to the test.  You don't have to just take our word for it!
